Pervaaz is an independent educational website about falcons. We help readers identify species, understand behavior, explore range and habitat, and appreciate the conservation work that keeps wild raptors in the sky.
Why We Built Pervaaz
A falcon seen for a few seconds can raise a surprising number of questions. Was it a peregrine or a prairie falcon? Was that steep dive a hunt or a territorial display? Does a bird on a city building need help, or is it exactly where it wants to be?
Pervaaz was created to answer questions like these with care. Our name reflects flight, movement, and the sense of wonder that follows a close encounter with a wild bird. We write for curious beginners, birdwatchers, photographers, students, and people who simply want a reliable answer without having to decode technical literature first.
What We Cover
Our main subjects are falcon identification, natural history, behavior, diet, breeding, migration, habitat, conservation, and responsible observation. Comparison guides explain the differences between species that are easily confused. Seasonal guides connect behavior to time and place. Practical articles help readers observe birds without disturbing them.
We focus on wild falcons. Falconry may be discussed when it provides useful historical or biological context, but Pervaaz is not a training manual and does not teach readers how to capture, keep, handle, breed, treat, or trade protected wildlife.
How We Work
Every substantial article begins with a clear reader question. We identify the species, region, season, and life stage involved before gathering evidence. We prefer primary and authoritative sources, including wildlife agencies, conservation organizations, museum collections, peer reviewed research, and established bird records. We compare sources when measurements, dates, ranges, or taxonomic treatment differ.
Our editors check factual claims, geographic context, image use, and language that could encourage disturbance. Articles are reviewed again when new research, taxonomic changes, conservation decisions, or credible reader corrections make an update necessary. Independence And Funding
Pervaaz is editorially independent. The site plans to earn revenue from display advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising helps pay for research, editing, technical maintenance, and original visual work. Advertisers do not choose our topics, review our articles, or influence our conclusions.
We do not currently use affiliate links. If that changes, we will add a clear disclosure where a commercial relationship exists and update the relevant policy pages before such links appear.
Our Responsibility To Wild Birds
Good wildlife information should protect the animal it describes. We avoid publishing precise locations for active nests, roosts, release sites, or sensitive species when disclosure could increase disturbance or illegal activity. We do not encourage baiting, flushing, nest approaches, playback, handling, or trespass for a photograph.
If you find an injured falcon, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or the appropriate wildlife authority. Do not rely on an article as a substitute for professional help.
